How many Medlite laser treatments are required to obtain the desired results?

It is recommended once a month for 8 months and then maintenance once in three months. Rejuvenation of the skin occurs gradually over time. The collagen in the skin will develop within 6 to 12 months; thus, the improvement will be seen over a period of time. What is the waiting period between two treatments?

 Dato’ Dr.JasG recommends that his patients wait for a minimum of four weeks (One Month Interval) between treatments. This time period allows for maximum fading of the targeted skin pigmentation, so an accurate view of the results can be seen before performing the next procedure.

How does the Medlite laser work on pigmented lesions?

When Medlite laser is applied to the pigmented lesion, the cells with excessive pigments absorb the light. The tissue surrounding the pigmented lesions will not absorb the laser. As such, the cells are stimulated by the Medlite laser to reduce excessive pigments without damaging the surrounding tissues.

Are there any side effects associated with the procedure?

After the Medlite laser procedure, the area treated will appear white or pale after the first half hour, and you may experience warmness in the treated area. The treated area may become swollen and red for the remaining part of the day. Occasionally, the patient may observe a small amount of bleeding in the treated areas for some hours. The bleeding usually occurs on the cells where there was deep pigmentation, causing superficial bruising below the blemishes. For the initial few days, you may notice a crusting of the skin or superficial blisters but it wouldn’t be noticeable in public but you will be aware of it, it will resolve on its own within a week & return to its normal condition.

In the majority of the cases, pigmentations, age spots, wrinkles and freckles may fade away to such an extent that only you will be able to find them again. Usually, they are no longer visible to the casual observer.

 Any type of skin can be treated using Medlite laser; however, Medlite laser tends to work best on darker skin or hair colours, as the light is absorbed better by darker colours. This laser tends to have less of an effect on lighter coloured skin or hair.

It is better to limit activities such as a sauna bath, swimming, exercising, and outdoor activities. You should use a moisturizing cream until the area is healed. During the process of healing, you should avoid tanning beds and exposure to sun. If needed, you can apply ice to the treated area at regular intervals, as recommended by your doctor.
