Remove that Birthmark successfully with Glojas!

What is a Birthmark?

A birthmark is a congenital, benign irregularity on the skin which is present at birth or appears shortly after birth usually in the first month. They can occur anywhere on the skin. Birthmarks are caused by overgrowth of blood vessels, melanocytes, smooth muscle, fat, fibroblasts, or keratinocytes.

What causes birthmarks?

Vascular birthmarks, which are usually red, pink or purple in colour, are caused by an abnormality in the skin’s blood vessels. Brown pigmented birthmarks are usually caused by clusters of melanin (pigment) in the skin.

At Glojas Smart International Aesthetic, birthmark removal by laser is available using the Medlite C6 laser. Some birthmarks do fade or completely disappear over time; however, there are others that will never fade or go away. Laser birthmark removal offers a remarkable solution to people who are self-conscious about their appearance.

How does it work?

The laser is a medical device which produces a highly concentrated light beam. This beam passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment which makes up the actual birthmark. This pigment is fragmented into smaller particles and is either safely absorbed by the body or eliminated from the skin surface directly.

Is it painful?

At Glojas, we use a special cream to apply for 15 minutes to numb the area. The only sensations you will feel are warming of the deeper skin during laser treatment.

How long is the recovery?

There will be very minimal swelling and redness after the treatment that will go off immediately. We advise you to apply moisturizer/aloe vera gel on the treated area.

How much does birthmark removal cost?

Birthmark removal cost in Malaysia starts from USD 100 onwards depending on the size of targeted area.
