Giving your skin a firmer and more desirable allure, Blepharoplasty or eye bag removal surgery will remove loose skin and excess fatty tissues around the eye area, tightening the relaxed muscles for a more youthful appearance. Over time, our skin loses its elasticity and the muscles relax as we age. In return, both the upper and lower eyelids begin to sag, so it’s common for eyebags to develop and our eyelids to droop.

One of the five most common cosmetic surgery procedures in Malaysia, GLOJAS offers two types of Blepharoplasty treatments including double eyelid surgery and eye bag removal surgery. This procedure is still considered minor. The eye bag removal surgery is performed under Local Anesthesia (LA) and the procedure is done by Malaysia’s ONLY Craniofacial Surgeon.

How long do the results last?

Whether it is double eyelid surgery or an eye bag removal, just one minor surgery is done under local anaesthesia by our Craniofacial Surgeon for around two hours or less. Blepharoplasty is highly effective and it rarely needs to be repeated which means that results are permanent for a lifetime. It is the one lifting procedure that may need non-surgical touch-ups in the future and most likely does not need another skin excision as it is long-lasting.

Is the procedure painful?

The pain is minimal as the surgery is performed under local anaesthesia by our plastic surgeon. Patients may experience slight pain in the post-operative recovery phase but any discomfort can be controlled with simple pain relief and eye ointments provided by GLOJAS.

Will there be any visible scars?

GLOJAS uses very specialised techniques and fine work of stitching which makes all the difference in achieving incredible and desirable results you will be satisfied with.

What is the recovery time?

Depending on your tolerance, oftentimes, patients don’t necessarily need any downtime. Patients should be able to resume normal activities immediately after. Bruises and slight swelling will take place between three to seven days before it heals completely.

How much does double eyelid or an eye bag removal surgery cost in Kuala Lumpur?

Blepharoplasty procedures start from RM4000 generally, but every individual is different. Prices vary and it depends on the area that needs treatment. An accurate price will be quoted during a consultation at GLOJAS.
